There was not a big trip this year. Business, a trip to Australia, and minor medical problems took up most of the summer leaving a few weeks for travelling. Patti and Sarah joined for a while, and Bob Hawk and Jeff had one of the best sailing days Beatrix has ever had, going to weather down the Trincomali Channel in 30 knots, all sails up, 8 to 9 knots, well-balanced, passing other boats slogging into the wind with their engines. It was an exhilarating experience and a realization of exactly why the KP44 is such a fabulous design.
