“Please Give” is the story of two families and their struggle with life, growing up and the pains of relationships. Rebecca (Rebecca Hall) and Mary (Amanda Peet) are sisters who care for their grandmother together. Their neighbors, Cathy (Elizabeth Keener) and Alex (Oliver Platt) are both into restoring and selling furniture. The four of them each come to realize that each other can teach them a thing or two about life. As they all come to understand what it means to be good in a world that seems to have one sole purpose; to grow up, fall in love and then die.
